Embrace flexitime

The trade-off with many green initiatives is flexibility. Eating healthy food, cycling to work or refusing to drink boiled water all have as their price the necessity to be a little more organised in your day-to-day planning. You can help your employees lead a richer, greener life by allowing them sub-stantial flexibility in their office hours. The companies who do this usually require attendance during a core time from 9 to about 3, but outside that period, workers  are welcome to come in as early or stay as late as suits them. These sorts of solutions help people make other changes in their lives and also contribute to the better management of broader solutions, like your city’s traffic.
