The team officially received their globally recognised Green Key certification from WESSA (Wildlife & Environment Society of South Africa), making them the first conference centre in Africa and the Southern Hemisphere to achieve this milestone, with a 100% audit score.
That’s not just good news for the venue, it’s great news for Cape Town’s reputation as a leading, sustainable events destination.
Business tourism brings thousands of delegates into our city and supports jobs across hospitality and services. When our venues raise the bar like this, the whole local economy benefits. And on a personal note, I’ve been speaking at this venue for years, so to be back and part of the Green Key handover ceremony was pretty special.
