The Gugulethu 7 memorial commemorates the lives of seven young anti-apartheid activists that were brutally murdered for their involvement.

The memorial is a tribute to Mandla Simon Mxinwa, Zanisile Zenith Mjobo, Zola Alfred Swelani, Godfrey Miya, Christopher Piet, Themba Mlifi and Zabonke John Konile, seven young men who opposed the apartheid system and suffered deeply for their involvement when they got murdered by the apartheid regime.
