Meadowridge Common is a beautiful natural reserve in the Meadowridge suburb of Cape Town. The common preserves critically endangered Cape Flats Sand Fynbos vegetation.
The Meadowridge Common preserve contains over a hundred plant species, including four that are endangered.
The Friends of Meadowridge group assists with keeping the site clean and tidy, and controlling invasive alien species. The group keeps detailed botanical records, arranges spring walks, provides signage, and monitors the activities on the common.
