The Arderne Gardens is a picturesque park in the southern subrubs. It is a South African Provincial Heritage Site, and contains more than 400 trees.

This beautiful garden has one of the most diverse and valuable collections of exotic trees in all of South Africa. It is home to two “champion trees” a huge Moreton Bay Fig (commonly called the “wedding tree”) and an enormous Aleppo Pine.

The Arderne Gardens are a popular spot for relaxation, recreation and wedding photography in Cape Town.

Open from 8:00 to 18:00 daily.

Entrance is free, donations are encouraged.
