Begun with a vision of reviving the community market as a social institution, The Neighbourgoods Market was held for the first time in September of 2006. Housed in the historic sky-lit warehouse of The Old Biscuit Mill, the market quickly established itself as a catalyst for - and celebration of - the urban renaissance that has seen the once dilapidated neighbourhood of Woodstock become the thriving heart of the city’s creative industries. A decade later it remains the essential showcase of Cape Town’s finest micro-merchants, designer-makers, specialty-producers and food-alchemists.

A vital platform for the nurturing and growth of the individuals who turn their passions into prosperity, and a vibrant weekly meeting place to enjoy community, swap ideas and stories, and collectively contribute to the iconic culture of the Mother City.

Trading Times & Days
The market is open from 09:00 to 15:00 every Saturday, rain or shine.

We endeavour to cater for all food choices. Halaal, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten and Sugar free, Lactose - Intolerant, Raw and Organic food preferences are all represented - if you feel we are missing something please let us know.

Dogs are welcome, provided they are on a leash. Please clean up after your dog.

There is an ATM on site, and another ATM at the BP Station on Salt River Circle. Please note however that the wait for the ATM can become quite long on busy days. You are encouraged to draw cash before visiting the market.
