Vergelegen is a wine estate that creates a range of handcrafted wines of world-class quality. Vergelegen became the first producer to be awarded 'Champion' status by the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative in 2005.
Vergelegen is situated in one of the richest floral regions of the world, and initiated a large-scale alien vegetation clearing programme to restore 2240 hectares of the Estate to a pristine environment for the Cape’s natural flora and fauna.
