The Wynberg Drop Off faclity is for use by residents with cars, trailers or LDV’s with a carrying capacity not exceeding 1.5 tons. A maximum of three loads of garage waste, builder’s rubble and clean garden waste can be dropped off per day.
There is no limitation on the amount of loads of recycling that can be dropped at the facility. The Wynberg drop-off facility accepts garden waste, motor oil, metal, paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, electronic waste, builders rubble, tetra pak, polystyrene and e-waste.
Household or garden waste can be dropped off in-between waste collection days at any of the City’s 20 drop-off facilities.
Up to 1 300kg (1,3 tons) of non-hazardous waste may be disposed at any of these sites, at no cost. Green garden waste is then chipped and composted, while builder’s rubble is crushed for re-use.
